New Album 2025

The Gentle Enemies release their mildly anticipated debut & final Album

It’s been a long time between tequila shots for The Gentle Enemies. After their mediocre explosion onto the scene in 2014 and a short run of dates in Europe, the band has finally thought: “F**k it, let’s put that album out before the next younger dryas event.”

'For Promotional Use Only' – recorded this alternative rock odyssey 11 years ago at Sky Valley Studio Warrimoo in the Blue Mountains, NSW – is finally seeing the light of day. The Gentle Enemies will officially release their hardly anticipated debut (and final) album 'For Promotional Use Only' on February 19, 2025, available for promotional use only on all streaming platforms.

At the helm of this project is Claude Hay, an internationally acclaimed roots rock artist known for his pioneering work in live looping before it became naff. Claude has taken a surprisingly anti-agoraphobic next step—joining forces with actual, living, breathing musicians to form the lackluster trio The Gentle Enemies.

Musically positioned somewhere between the smell of leaving your wet clothes in the washing machine for a couple of days and accepting you now only have grey pubes, The Gentle Enemies features Ryan Van Gennip and Jon Howell, a Rhythm Section known for their work in Chase The Sun Music Marshall Okell, and Cass Eager. Collectively, they’ve also performed with many artists over the last 30+ years, all of whom have refused comment and requested not to be mentioned at this time.

Available for promotional use only on all streaming platforms.
